I understand. I wasn't slaming you! Yes the HPs are crap in my opinion. I never liked them. Dells have their limitations too. What I do with my older Dells is give them to my Wife & Kids. My recent older Dell is still a nice fast 2.8ghz 800FSB system. Between the two recent Dells that I own they are real good with LAN games. My oldest Dell Dim 4100 P3 800Mhz is my wife's. Works great for her. Never had a problem with that one either.

I am stubborn as well. I am also LAZY! I spend enough time fixing what my family messes up with the computers I have now. Truly annoying! I have had it with their incompetence (sp?) so they are NOT allowed on my new system at all!

You have to compare computers with similar prices. I'm sure you're spending more on your alien ware than I am spending, so they can't compare.

Chances are, a custom-built of the same price would own it because you would not paying for the labor or for the brandname
